Blessed Hope

We would like to take a moment and share with you the ministry of Blessed Hope.

We are a group called out of Bible Baptist Temple in Washington Court House, Ohio to minister to the believers and non-believers alike through music. Since we are a ministry of our local church, we are accountable to our pastor in every aspect of our ministry. The Pastor we serve under is James L. Jackson, who started Bible Baptist Temple 29 years ago. We are all aware of the responsibility we have to represent first our Lord Jesus Christ, then our pastor and our church family in a way that honors our heavenly Father.

It is our desire to uplift the name of Jesus Christ to all that will listen and to help strengthen the brethren of the local church. As we are invited to different churches, concerts, special events, etc., it is a privilege to be able to follow the direction of the pastor/music director and to help provide assistance in any way possible. We are not there to take over in any manner, but simply to help minister.

We are aware of the chance that one takes when inviting a group in to minister through music. Many have shared with us horror stories, so we would like to take this opportunity to share with you the guiding principles we use when selecting songs to sing. When writing songs or selecting songs from other artists, we strive to choose those with Biblical based messages which will encourage and convict believers while pointing nonbelievers to the cross. The music is there to provide a nice, full sound but never to distract from the message. The message will change lives, never the music. We ourselves are conservative in nature and will in no way allow our convictions as Christians to be compromised.

Our group consists of four members who have been led by the Holy Spirit of God into this ministry. Those members are Steve Adams, group manager/lead singer; Lisa Adams, alto singer; Andrew Johnson tenor singer, and Matthew Vance, bass singer.

To speak with someone about our ministry or the quality of our sound and testimony, please feel free to contact our Pastor James L. Jackson (740) 333-7349 Or group manager Steve Adams (740) 606-0639.
